A Novel Approach for Estimation

Introduction

We all know that one of the most crucial jobs of any construction project is to calculate quantities and arrive at appropriate cost before the project starts. Though there were different methodologies and software tools to do the process of estimation, candy takes care of everything and uses first principles of estimation. Estimating Methods

Estimating is basically used for evaluation of the cost of various resources, we are going to use before a project begins. Construction estimators use four basic types of estimates (Order of Magnitude Estimate, Square Foot and Cubic Foot Estimate, Assemblies or Systems Estimate, Unit Price Estimate). These types may be referred to by different names and may not be recognized by all as definitive, but most estimators will agree that each type has its place in the construction estimating process. The following figure will draw a fair idea and differences between the four types of estimation.
