FAIR MATE Offers Range of Engineering Grout

Engineering grout is a material which has properties of non-shrink, free flow, high early strength for bolt pocket and base plate of machines to ensure firm and vibration-free equipment. FAIR MATE, the leading manufacturer of complete range of construction chemicals offers two types of grout i.e. Cementitious Grout and Epoxy Based Grout.

Cementitious Grout: The cementitious grout is based on processed cement containing fillers and additives. It is used for all types of static, dynamic, and rotary equipment.

Types of Cementitious Grout:
  1. General Purpose grout
    a. Flowgrout 40 - High Strength, Free Flow, Non-Shrink Grout
A Single pack ready to use, high strength, free flowing, non-shrink grout. It is a blend of specially processed cement and special fillers free from corrosive substances and additives, which achieve 45 N/mm2 strength at 28 days.

    b. Flowgrout 60-Ultra High Strength, Free Flowing, Non-Shrink Cementitious Grout

Ultra High Early Strength Grout is based on specially processed cement containing fillers and additives, which is suitable for gap widths of between 10mm - 50mm and which achieves strength of 60 N/mm2 at 28 days. This reduces the heat of hydration and low water demand ensures high early strength. Expansion: Controlled expansion occurs in the unset material to ensure that the grout, when cured will continue to occupy its original volume within the confines of the voids in which it was placed. For thicker section, it is necessary to fill out grout with well graded silt free aggregate to minimize heat buildup.

    c. Flowgrout AG – Non – shrink, high strength, large section cementitious grout
It is a high strength, super flowing, large section cementitious grout. It is a blend of specially selected cement, silica, aggregates and additives, when mixed with water. It produces a consistent, reliable, non-shrink, ultra high strength large section grout and with aggregate for low heat of hydration & eliminates cracks.

    d. Flowgrout 60 (S) – Flow retaining, high strength, non-shrink cementitious grout
The High strength grout is based on specially processed cement containing fillers and additives. It is suitable for gap widths between 10mm and 50mm. It is also ultra high strength, free flowing, and non-shrink grout. It is also blend of specially processed cement and special fillers free from corrosive substances and additives. These grouts retain flow for more than 45 minutes at 30°C and ensure high fluidity.
  2. Dual Expansion grout
    a. Flowgrout DE – Ultra High Strength, Free Flowing Dual Expansion Cementitious Grout
It is based on specially processed cement containing fillers and additives. It is suitable for gap widths between 10mm and 50mm. This reduces the heat of hydration. Low water demand ensures high early strength. Expansion: Controlled expansion occurs in the unset material to ensure that the grout, when cured will continue to occupy its original volume within the confines of the voids in which it was placed. For thicker section it is necessary to fill out grout with well graded silt free aggregate to minimize heat buildup.
  3. Temperature Resistant Grout
    a. Flowgrout HS – Free Flow, Ultra high early strength, non-shrink, dual expansion cementitious grout.
It is ready to use, ultra high early strength, Rapid setting, free flowing, temperature resistant, non-shrink dual expansion grout. It is blend of specially processed cement and special fillers which are free from corrosive substances and additives. Additive which imparts controlled expansion in the plastic state as well as under stage. The special fillers are designed to assist uniform mixing and produce a consistent grout.
  4. Rock Capsules
    a. Flowgrout Cemetitious Rock Capsule– Non – shrink Cementitious Rock Capsule
Cementiitous rock capsule is a non-shrink cementitious anchorgrout supplied as a ready to use dry powder encapsulated in a perforated skin. The capsule is submerged in water when required for use to allow sufficient water to be absorbed through the perforations. The perforated skin makes the powder saturated and this produces a thixotropic cementitious grout.

Epoxy Grout:

The epoxy grout is strong, water and chemical resistance. Epoxy grout is generally more expensive than cementitious. It is used where high compressive strength, high tensile strength and chemical resistance is required like heavy duty rails, machinery, compressor, dowel bars etc.

Types of Epoxy resin Grout:

  1. Flowgrout EP – High Performance free flow Epoxy Resin Grouting System.
High performance epoxy resin grouting system is a free flow grouting system formulated to give good flow properties without filler separation. It has the better flow properties at either ambient or higher temperatures. It has an excellent curing characteristics. It achieves 90 N/mm2 at 24 hours. It also achieves high tensile & flexural strength for heavy & dynamic load equipment like rotary, compressor & heavy duty motor where cyclic load is very high.
  2. Flowgrout EPL - A High Performance Free-Flow Epoxy Resin Grouting System for pocket grouting (large section).
It comes in three different packs, solvent free, easy flow grouting system formulated to give good flow properties without filler separation. It has better flow properties at either ambient or higher temperatures. It has excellent curing characteristics. It is also low exothermic heat, so ideal for large section grout.

Examples of grouting needs

The table below is designed to be read from left to right. It describes what are the essential properties that grouts need to exhibit when applied in a particular way to fulfill a function in different situations to fill various needs.

Non-shrink and durable properties are essential to all the cases described below.

When the method of application is using an injection system, then it is probable that some pressure of pumping would be necessary.
