Please tell us something about ANEPL, its progress so far and important business areas and industries served.
ANEPL is the leading engineering and manufacturing company delivering Turnkey Project Solutions to produce Aerated Autoclave Concrete Block, and Red Clay Brick/ block, it is a 50:50 Joint venture between Alpina Industriale SpA Italy and Neptune Industries Ltd, India. It offers world-class designs, concepts and technologies with indigenous and economically proven solutions, best quality service and timely delivery.

Neptune Industries is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Plant and Machinery for Heavy Clay & Building Materials, Fly ash utilization, Ceramic, Sanitary wares, Insulator, Refractory Ceramics, Tableware and Tiles Industries. Alpina Industriale SpA, Italy is a worldwide leader in manufacturing and supplying of automatic systems for the production of building materials such as Aerated autoclave Concrete block, Red clay Brick/blocks, roofing tiles and prefabricated clay walls.

How has the European technology been indigenized successfully in the Indian condition to produce clay Brick/block and AAC Block?

ANEPL is constantly oriented towards offering the best technology at an Indian Price. In this continuous effort to combine the latest technological innovations with the best functionality aimed at the construction of truly state-of-the-art brick/block plants. From the meticulous tests on raw materials to the automatic handling of both dry and fired products right from Batching and weighing system to Autoclave, from dryers to kilns, from unloading/packing systems of the finished product to the regulation/control systems. The whole production process is carefully designed and built in the company’s workshops located in Mehsana in India and Asti in Italy.

A word about your quality control system ensuring overall quality of the product according to customer’s requirement.

ANEPL is quite aware of the modern day global demands with respect to systems. It has an elaborated quality assurance system in place. We have inspection facilities across four stages i.e Inbound stage, Processing stage, Final stage, and ITR test stage.

What is the size of market, your company's product range has in the country and your share in the total market of these products?

India is the second largest producer of bricks in the world, and is next only to China in terms of brick production and it’s estimated to be growing at a rate of 4% per year. The Indian brick industry produces mainly one product, i.e. red coloured, hand moulded, solid bricks. For long-term sustainability of the industry, it is important to diversify the product range and move towards products that are less resource intensive and fulfill market requirements.

The major barriers identified in the Indian brick sector are awareness & availability of technology and financial capability. The endusers such as builders, architects, etc. too lack information on the benefits of using REBs in building construction. All these points added with the ever imposing issue of availability of workers makes us to believe a lot of potential in Indian market for ANEPL’s Automatic AAC block and Red clay brick/ block.

ANEPL Products Range

ANEPL offers Plant & Machinery and turnkey based project solution for:

Red clay brick/block making plant – Capacity range starts from 100 to 900 ton per day.

The supply of equipment includes Box Feeder, Double shaft paddle mixer, Roller Mill, de airing vacuum Extruder, Cutting Machine, Dryer, Kiln, Automatic Handling and Packing system etc.

AAC Bock making Plant - Capacity range starts from 200 to 600 Cubic mt. per day.

The supply of equipment includes System for flyash & slurry treatment, Storage, feeding & batching, casting & molding, car handling, ccake Cutting, autoclaving, automatic handling, and packing system etc.

Tell us about your marketing network and also what are the sales and after-sales services being provided by the company to its customers?

We operate out of our Sales & Marketing Head office in Ahmedabad. We have our business associates in Kolkata, Ranchi and Pune. Pre-sales consultancy puts ANEPL’s experience at the customer’s disposal i.e. each single project is elaborated in accordance with requirements and limits of the clients. This means a highly qualified consultancy with regard to technological development and guaranteed efficient performance. The after-sales service represents the long-term guarantee for the investment of the customers has made by associating with ANEPL. We not only provide original spare parts on demand but also an on-call service to ensure a prompt arrangement of the service team.

How do you view business prospects of your company in the next 3-4 years?
ANEPL is currently working on three projects in India, two of them are in the manufacturing stage and the erection and commissioning is under process for one unit Red clay Brick making plant. We expect the production to start by the end of October 2011. So far, we have got very positive response from the market and within next 3-4 years, ANEPL aims to be the leader in India for the supply of resource efficient brick technology i.e. in red clay brick making plant and AAC.
