Powerscreen: Strong & Reliable Electric & Hybrid Crushing Machines
Powerscreen is actively engaging with its customers to glean information on their job requirements and suggestions, and accordingly making enhancements in its products like Electric & Hybrid Crushing Machines, making them more strong and reliable. Neil Robinson- Product Director, Powerscreen, shares the steps that the company is taking to cater to the varied needs of its customers, with P.P. Basistha at Texcon 2023.
Powerscreen, a Terex brand, is set to offer electric and hybrid crushing machines, which will be designed for both Indian and international markets. With features and quality as per the Terex Group’s global standards, the new range will be more robust and have an improved design. The company will further increase its application support and customer engagement.
Our aim is to increase the productivity of our machines so that customers get a good return on their investment. We have incorporated Finite Element Analysis in the manufacturing of our crushing and screening units, which goes on to make the screen boxes, the cone and jaw, more rugged, consequently enabling plant owners and operators to derive increased throughput. These product advancements can be seen across all of our range of machines.
Powerscreen is also making changes in the cone crushers, for instance, while we have retained the chamber size of the cone crushers, we have increased the throughput by at least 25 percent. We have also made the jaw and cone crushers more robust for higher crushing strength. We are also working on certain areas to make the machines give more reliable performance and require lesser maintenance.
Telematics in our machines ensures optimum utilization and higher availability of our machines. Our customer help desk gathers vital data from customers, which enables us to make the desired improvisations in our crushing and screening units. We are also working towards bringing sustainability in aggregates production.
We are driving higher utilization of our machines through our continuous pre-sales application support. This allows us to proactively engage with the customers and understand their requirements so that we can provide the right solutions. We also advise them on the most suitable models for their jobs, the mesh needed for screening, etc. while keeping in mind the site layout.
Customers today are looking for more information on the usage and performance of the machines so that they can reduce their costs of operations. Hence, we are providing training both to our dealers and customers so that they can use our machines optimally and also enjoy their higher availability with lesser cost of operations. Terex Powerscreen’s post-sales support includes machine refurbishments and six months warranty for genuine parts across our entire range of products.
We are confident that Powerscreen’s operator training, our presales support, telematics and data analysis, and customer feedback gleaned by our help desk, will continue to be very effective in meeting our customers’ expectations and that the trust they repose in the Terex brand will result in repeat customers.
