Lanco Infra secures Rs. 5,675cr contracts

The infrastructure major, the Lanco Infra, in a recent achievement has secured contracts of Rs. 576 crore, including a project from its own subsidiary for setting up a 2x660MW, coal based project in Maharashtra.

In an official statement issued by the company recently, it stated that one contract related to offshore supplied equivalent to Rs. 2,160 crore and the other order is for civil works of Rs. 1,021 crore. Apart from this, the company has also secured an order for onshore supplies of Rs. 1,756 crore besides a contract from Lanco Mahanadi power for setting up a pulverized coal fired plant in Maharashtra.

That apart, the statement added that the company has also entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Uttar Pradesh Government for setting up a 2x660 MW coal fired plant at Fatehpur. The Lanco Anpara a group company has entered into a MoU with the UP government to enhance its capacity of 660 MW. This will take up the project capacity to 1,860 MW from the current 1200 MW under implementation. As per the deal with UP government the Lanco will sell 1,430 MW to the government owned power corporation and 430 MW to third parties, it added.
