Adani Group to Invest Rs 2.3 Trillion in Renewable Energy Expansion
The Adani Group has announced plans to invest approximately Rs 2.3 trillion in India's renewable energy sector by 2030. Adani Green Energy (AGEL) will allocate around Rs 1.5 trillion to expand its solar and wind power generation capacity in Khavda, Kutch, Gujarat, aiming to achieve a capacity of 30 GW. Additionally, AGEL plans to invest Rs 50,000 crore in six to seven GW of similar projects across the country.
Adani New Industries (ANIL), a unit of Adani Enterprises, will invest approximately Rs 30,000 crore to enhance its solar cell and wind turbine manufacturing capacity in Mundra. ANIL aims to increase its cell and module facility capacity to 10 GW by 2026-27 from the current four GW. Furthermore, ANIL will double its windmill manufacturing capacity to five GW within three-and-a-half years.
