Centre Approves Upgradation of 108 Roads in Uttarakhand
Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh issued approval for the upgradation of 108 roads in Uttarakhand under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). These roads, totaling 1,197.207 km in length, will be upgraded at an estimated cost of ₹967.73 crore under PMGSY-III. The Centre will provide ₹803.85 crore for the project, with the remaining ₹163.88 crore to be borne by the state government. The approval aims to address the challenges faced by hilly areas prone to natural disasters, ensuring improved connectivity and accessibility for residents.
