Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Approves Vishakhapatnam Light Metro Project
The Andhra Pradesh state cabinet has given the green light to the Vishakhapatnam Light Metro project, encompassing 79.9 km with five corridors. With an investment of ₹14,300 crore, the central and state governments will each contribute 20%, while private investors will secure the remaining financing. The proposed metro lines include Gajuwaka to Kommadi (Line-1), Gurudwara Junction to Old Post Office (Line-2), Thatichetlapalem to Chinna Waltair (Line-3), Law College Junction to Marikivalasa (Line-4), and Kommadi to Bhogapuram Airport (Line-5), covering various key areas in Vishakhapatnam.
