CMRL submits DFR for Rs. 11,834-cr Phase-II extension
The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has submitted the Detailed Feasibility Reports (DFR) for the extension of Corridors 3 and 5 under Phase II of the Chennai Metro. This extension project entails a combined investment of Rs.11,834 crore. With a total length of 23.5 km, Corridor 3 will run from Siruseri to Kelambakkam bus terminus via Kelambakkam. It will have approximately 12 tentative elevated stations. Corridor 5 extension, which will span a length of 16.07 km and feature 15 elevated stations, will connect Koyambedu to Avadi (via Thirumangalam, Mugappair).
