L&T Wins Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project's Elevated Viaduct Contract
Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has been awarded a contract for the construction of an elevated viaduct for the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP). The project involves the design and construction of an 8.960 km elevated viaduct and a 37.920 km at-grade section between Heelalige and Rajanukunte of Corridor-4. This contract, valued at ₹1,040.51 crore, includes the construction of a double-decker alignment and an elevated viaduct below the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) viaduct, a first-of-its-kind project in India. The work is expected to be completed in 30 months under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode. L&T is also involved in the construction of Corridor-2 for the BSRP.
