MMRCL awards Rs 394-cr contract to RVNL
The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation has awarded a contract worth Rs 394.9 crore to Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for the construction of an elevated metro bridge spanning 6.92 km in Reach 2A of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project (NMRP) Phase-II. RVNL emerged as the lowest bidder for the project, which includes design, strategy, and construction responsibilities. The project is scheduled to be completed within 30 months.
In addition to this recent contract, RVNL has achieved notable success in other projects. On June 22, the company secured two orders worth Rs 280 crore from the Madhya Pradesh state's Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited (MPPKVVCL) in Jabalpur. Furthermore, RVNL obtained three Letters of Acceptance from the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) for the construction of Underground Stations in Phase-II, with a combined value of Rs 2,326 crore.
