MMRDA invites bids for ₹1,877-cr metro project
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited bids for the execution of the civil construction work of the Mumbai Metro’s Orange Line entailing a cost of ₹1877.88-crores. The Package C-240 has been formed by amalgamating two packages, CA-185 & CA-186, of Civil construction for which bids were invited further as the tendering process was cancelled in June due to certain changes in the scope of work. The contract includes part design and construction of an elevated viaduct and 19 elevated stations, including a connecting line from Vadavli (khu) to the depot of line 12, excluding architectural finishing and pre-engineered steel roof structure of stations. The contract commands a completion period of 30 months with last date of bid submission as January 24, 2024. The 22.17 km long southern elevated section of the under-construction of the 24.9 km Line 5 involves an investment of ₹4,132 crore.
