PMRC plans two interchanges at Patna metro junction
In an attempt to ensure smooth movement of passengers, Patna Metro Rail Corporation has planned two interchange stations at Patna Junction on both the lines. The interchange station at Patna Junction will be underground, and at Khemnichak, it will be an elevated station. Both the stations will be connected with bus and railways terminals. Passengers taking Line-1 (East-West) from Danapur Cantonment side will be able to change the metro train at Patna Junction for Line-2 (North-South) for going towards Frazer Road, Gandhi Maidan, Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), Patna University (PU and vice-versa. They will be able to change the metro line inside the station premises itself. Likewise, the Line-1 passengers boarding the train from Ramkrishna Nagar and Mithapur, will be able to change the metro at Patna Junction for going towards Frazer Road, Gandhi Maidan, PMCH, PU or Gulzarbagh, and vice-versa.
