PMRDA speeds up Puneri Metro Line 3
The Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) has fast tracked the construction of Puneri Metro Line 3 on the PPP model. In this endeavour, the Tata Group has established a Special Purpose Vehicle company called Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited to oversee the execution of this mega metro project. The construction of the 22.3 km long Pune Metro Line 3 has made significant progress, particularly in the pier erection phase. This crucial phase is now approaching its final stages. The project involves the construction of 923 pillars, with 715 piers successfully completed. This marks the commencement of the concluding phase of pier erection for the Pune Metro. This segment of the project covers a 23 km long elevated track, connecting the IT hub of Hinjawadi to the Central Business District of Shivajinagar. Furthermore, the Pile Cap Work for Pune Metro Line 3 has also entered its concluding phase, with 810 out of 923 pile caps already completed.
