PM Unveils 2000 Railway Infrastructure Projects Worth ₹41,000 cr
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled around 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth more than ₹41,000 crores. These include the foundation stone laying for the redevelopment of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, aimed at modernizing and integrating city centers with modern passenger amenities. These stations, spread across 27 States and Union Territories, will be redeveloped at a cost of over ₹19,000 crores.
Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Gomti Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh, which has been redeveloped at a total cost of around ₹385 crores with segregated arrival and departure facilities and modern passenger amenities. He also laid the foundation stone for and inaugurated 1500 Road Over Bridges and Underpasses across 24 states and union territories, enhancing safety, connectivity, and efficiency of rail travel.
