Gadkari Launches 30 NH Projects Worth ₹4,755 Cr in Haridwar
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 30 National Highway projects in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, with a total investment of ₹4,755 crore. These projects include widening of roads, construction of elevated flyovers, and other infrastructural developments aimed at easing transportation and enhancing connectivity.
Key projects inaugurated include the widening of the 2-lane paved shoulder from Lameri to Karnaprayag in Rudraprayag and Chamoli, and the Dudhdhari elevated flyover in Haridwar. These initiatives aim to alleviate traffic congestion, particularly in religious cities like Haridwar, while improving connectivity to various religious sites and enhancing accessibility from Rishikesh to the India-China border.
The foundation stones laid for 28 projects mark a significant step towards accelerating the pace of development in Uttarakhand. These initiatives are expected to facilitate the journey of devotees on Chardham routes and increase connectivity with other states, thereby fostering economic and social development in the region.
