Rockwell Automation to Open New Manufacturing Facility in Chennai

Rockwell Automation, the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in Chennai, India. Spanning 98,000 square feet with provisions for potential expansion, this facility aims to fortify Rockwell's supply chain resilience, agility, and sustainability across the Asia Pacific region and globally.

India, boasting the world's fifth-largest and fastest-growing economy, wields significant influence on the global economic landscape, particularly in trade, investment, and innovation. Rockwell's investment in India underscores its commitment to expand manufacturing operations, with the Chennai facility strategically located alongside Rockwell's existing CUBIC manufacturing facility to optimize supply chain efficiency and create new career opportunities.

Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director - India, Rockwell Automation, highlighted the selection of this location to leverage synergies with the CUBIC facility, enhancing regional agility and productivity. He expressed enthusiasm about bolstering Rockwell's presence in India, optimizing global manufacturing operations, and advancing industrial operations in this burgeoning market.

Scheduled to open in the first half of 2025, the Chennai facility is expected to employ approximately 230 workers by the end of the year, further solidifying Rockwell Automation's commitment to growth and innovation in India.
