₹494 Cr Sanctioned for Kashipur-Ramnagar Highway Upgrade
Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari has announced the sanction of ₹494.45 crore for the 4-lane configuration of the rehabilitation and upgradation of Kashipur to Ramnagar section of National Highway 121 (New 309) in Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital districts of Uttarakhand. This project aims to enhance connectivity to Jim Corbett National Park, a renowned tourist destination, facilitating traffic flow from Moradabad and Rampur to Delhi/Lucknow. Economic activity is expected to flourish in the project impact area, as the corridor serves as one of the busiest tourist routes in Uttarakhand. Additionally, the project will prioritize road safety and reduce travel time for road users.
