Tamil Nadu Govt Allocates ₹2,500 Cr for Upgradation of Roads
Tamil Nadu's Finance Minister has allocated ₹2,500 crore for upgrading 4,457 km of urban roads, ₹946 crore for improving drinking water and sewage infrastructure in North Chennai, and the implementation of the Pasumai Thamizhnadu Mission for promoting environmental conservation. Economic growth and job creation efforts include establishing a new IT park in Coimbatore and developing a SIPCOT industrial park in Thanjavur. Additionally, plans to upgrade 45 polytechnics aim to enhance workforce skills and technology expertise in line with Industry 4.0 standards.
