Infrastructure Development Plans Across India
Indian construction equipment Industry is among the largest market in the world and is growing rapidly. If we look ahead, Infrastructure development is one of the major focus areas of the government. The ambitious National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) is a roadmap to make India a 5 trillion-dollar economy by 2024-25 with an investment of ₹102 lakh crores in infrastructure projects.
The recently announced National Monetization Pipeline (NMP) - an asset monetization mechanism of the central public sector, through which the government expects to generate ₹6 lakh crore during 2021-2024, will further increase government’s expenditure on infrastructure development. This is evident from the various new projects announced in sectors like roads, irrigation, railway, energy, and ports. Along with conventional projects, special initiatives such as smart city projects and the vehicle scrappage policy will increase demand for specialized machines and attachments.
