CASE Backhoe Loaders, Compactors & Excavators: Enhancing Efficiency

CASE Const. Equipment (India & SAARC)
CASE Const. Equipment (India & SAARC), Shalabh Chaturvedi - Managing Director

Our research and development teams work rigorously to create cutting-edge equipment that meets international standards while addressing the unique needs of the Indian market.

CASE Construction is continually introducing innovative products that are designed to compete in global markets. We prioritize optimizing equipment utilization, reducing downtime, and enhancing efficiency. We embrace connected and digital construction practices such as the renowned Sitewatch Telematics in our machines that allows real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making.

Compliance with international technology norms

CASE Const. Equipment (India & SAARC)
Telematics and artificial intelligence have made our machines smarter. They can now be monitored remotely, have enhanced safety, greater operator comfort, and fuel efficiency. The scope for self-diagnostics lowers the possibility of using unsuitable machinery and at the same time, requires less additional labour, resulting in operations that are both affordable and effective. These developments have greatly boosted project productivity and efficiency, bringing the construction equipment industry into compliance with international technology norms.

A forward-thinking and customer-centric approach builds customer trust

The technological advancements in our Loader Backhoes and Compactors not only enhance product performance but also position CASE as an industry leader in adopting cutting-edge technology. The emphasis on operator safety and comfort shows our commitment to providing top-notch and reliable equipment. Our constant research and development, guided by customer feedback and market requirements, reflects our forward-thinking and customer-centric approach, which builds trust and loyalty among our customers and partners.

Equipment designed for adaptability, reliability and sustainability

We are attempting to reduce emissions in our equipment and equipping them with fuel-efficient mechanisms in terms of engine and operation. For example, our 770 NXe Loader Backhoe has a FPT S8000 engine that provides a faster response time and up to 10% better fuel economy, with its mechanical injection system. Our CX220C and CX220C LC Crawler Excavators are equipped with the CASE Intelligent Hydraulic System (CIHS) that delivers impressive machine control and fuel savings in all cycle time phases.

Furthermore, all our machines are compliant to the BS (CEV) IV emission norms, and we have already begun the transition to the much more. Our L-series Crawler Dozers, equipped with hydrostatic transmission and common rail engines, provide precise control and versatility across diverse applications.

Well-trained individuals are crucial for safe, efficient, and optimal equipment operation

CASE Const. Equipment (India & SAARC)
We employ a holistic approach to enhance the productivity, efficiency, and sustainability of our equipment at construction sites. Since, well-trained individuals are crucial for safe, efficient, and optimal equipment operation, we prioritize operator training. We are running a Skill Development Centre under our Hunar initiative. Located in Sonvai, Rau near Pithampur, this centre plays a significant role in contributing to the Central Government’s Skill India Mission by offering training to over 250 people on Loader Backhoe operations every year.

We also have a training center in our Pithampur plant, which not only offers regular operator training but also seeks to establish partnerships with renowned training organizations. In addition, CASE provides a six-month training program on workplace safety exclusively for female employees. It covers a variety of training modalities such as classroom, online, on-the-job training, along with a first-aid certification.

At CASE, promoting the skill set of women on the shop floor is an essential part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Women are deployed at various stations as operators, performing torquing, preparing machines data and updating machine’s data card. They are also involved in new product launches, taking care of projects individually and adhering to completion timelines.

Continued focus on infrastructure development bodes well for the CE industry’s growth prospects.

The Construction Equipment industry in India demonstrated strong growth in the first half of the current financial year (FY24). In the previous fiscal year (FY23), the industry reached 100,000 units sold, matching the 2018 peak, which had not been achieved in the previous 4-5 years due to various factors, including elections, Covid-19, and emission norm changes. In the first half of FY24, the industry saw a 20% growth, primarily driven by the ongoing infrastructure development, including greenfield projects.

The road sector in India is expected to remain a robust demand driver for the CE industry. The industry’s growth can also be expected to be driven by India’s focus on railway infrastructure expansion, as well as state government initiatives in developing infrastructure and real estate. Additionally, the implementation of BS (CEV) V presents an opportunity for Indian CE manufacturers to tap into the more mature markets like Europe and North America, and thereby contribute to the industry’s growth and expansion beyond domestic borders.
