Hyundai CE India launches Fuel-Efficient Excavators & Wheel Loaders

Excon 2023 is being held at an opportune period when the Indian Government is highly aggressive towards development of India’s infrastructure on a larger scale, backed by huge investments and there is also a major thrust on coal mining to increase domestic throughput.

Hyundai Construction Equipment India is changing the landscape of heavy equipment manufacturing through innovations in engineering and marketing. Since its inception in 2008, the company has rolled out 45,000 machines from its dealerships, making it India’s largest exporter and the second largest manufacturer of excavators.

Excon 2023 is the right platform to showcase Hyundai’s superior products and capabilities

At Excon 2023, we will exhibit our range of new excavators and wheel loaders that have been indigenously manufactured at our Chakan plant under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. On display will be Hyundai’s 3 and 5-ton wheel loaders, and (for the first time) its HX Series of 50-ton and 36-ton excavators. Visitors will also see our new Smart+ Excavators, which are an improved version of the Robex series under the 8-14-15-20 and 30-ton range. These products feature digitalization, a new design, and aggregates that improve performance and lifecycle costs.

ICEMA has also revealed its Vision Document that proposes to increase the scale of domestic construction equipment manufacturing to cater to the needs of upcoming large scale infrastructure construction and to widen the country’s export potential of its Made in India products. Hyundai India, being the second largest stakeholder in India’s excavator market, is very much a part of the Government’s mega infrastructure development program.

Giving a thrust to technology and sustainability

Hyundai Construction Equipment India
Hyundai India’s tagline ‘Building a Comfortable Tomorrow’ is evident in its new Smart+ Series excavators and other products that offer global standard best in class features like advanced hydraulics, fuel efficient engines, ergonomically designed cabins etc. The products deliver higher performance and precision, along with real-time performance assessment since they are completely IoT enabled.

Our products with their advanced mechanisms and safety features have positioned Hyundai in the top ranks of the Indian excavator market and we are also a major exporter to over 30 countries including the Middle East, African and SAARC countries. Hyundai India has produced ~45,000 units of excavators since it started production in India in 2008.

Extending product life through refurbishing and rebuilding

Hyundai India is initiating higher utilization of its machines across their total lifecycle by rebuilding/remanufacturing at its Chakan facility. Under the program, the company is rebuilding machines sourced from the market wherein it completely rebuilds all the components like tracks, idlers, rollers, engines, booms, arm buckets, etc.

Another rebuilding exercise entails providing an ‘extended service life’ backed by a warranty. Under this, Hyundai takes back products from dealers, rebuilds, and sells them at discounted prices. The company is also encouraging some of its dealers to undertake rebuilding of the equipment. Its Delhi-based dealer, for instance, has begun rebuilding machines. Hyundai India has 37 dealers for catering to the domestic market and four dealers to cater to the needs of the SAARC countries.

Strong emphasis on operator training

Only a well-trained operator will be able to use our machines optimally given their highly advanced features. In accordance with this, Hyundai India has launched ‘Takshila’ operator training program under which freshers from school with 10+ qualifications are being trained on hydraulics, electrical parts, trouble shooting, diagnostics, assembling of aggregates in our machines, and also on soft skills. On completion of training, they are being deployed at our dealers for undertaking servicing jobs.
