Nilang Asphalt Equipments

We are strongly positioned as a provider of complete road equipment solutions, completing our mainstay asphalt batch mix plants; we are also the first Indian company to have developed the 120 tph mastic asphalt plant and cooker.

Nilang is a leading manufacturer of concrete and asphalt solutions catering to mid-level and large contractors engaged in road, bridge, and canal construction. The company aims to become a complete solutions provider for driving a more aggressive business growth. In addition to leveraging its advanced products and manufacturing capabilities, Nilang is undertaking plant retrofitting and reconditioning to broaden its customer services.

New mastic asphalt cooker and micro surfacing equipment

In a major bid to widen its product offerings for bituminous road construction application, Gujarat-based manufacturer, Nilang has recently introduced two products: mastic asphalt cooker and micro surfacing paver for the Indian Road Construction sector. Mastic asphalt cooker is a transit equipment, mounted on a truck chassis for transporting bitumen to construction sites. Micro surfacing is an equipment used for maintenance of highways.

We have launched these products in view of the encouraging demand coming from large-scale road construction, including repairs. Through the new offerings, we have positioned ourselves as provider of complete road equipment solutions, completing our mainstay asphalt batch mix plants.

Substituting import of mastic asphalt cooker

Earlier, the mastic asphalt cooker was imported by the Indian road construction contractors, and we are the first Indian asphalt equipment manufacturer to make the product in India. We have designed and manufactured it completely in-house to meet the Indian road construction application needs. We are also the first Indian company to have developed the 120 tph mastic asphalt plant earlier. The ability of the cookers to meet the Indian site condition needs is mainly because of their uniquely designed mixing arms and heating arrangement in the mixers.

Nilang is presently manufacturing mastic asphalt cookers in two variants of 10 and 12 tons. These are being offered on truck chassis of Ashok Leyland, Tata, or Bharat Benz as per customer’s preference. The technical support of mounting the mixers through clamps and brackets is being done by Nilang at its plant in Ahmedabad.

Micro surfacing solutions fully attuned to Indian road repairing needs

We have developed our micro surfacing paver based on field observations, the varied Indian weather, and project site conditions. The micro surfacing solution is essentially a hybrid product, developed as an amalgam of Indian and foreign design and fine-tuned to suit Indian jobsite requirements.

Improving screening, mixing, and asphalt plant structure

While the company will continue to manufacture its range of 60-260 tph asphalt batch mix plants, it will be undertaking design improvements in the plants of 120-160 tph. This will be mainly through improving the screening, mixing and plant structure for better product throughput and reliability. Nilang is also manufacturing concrete batch mix plants ranging between 30-45-60-75-90 cum/hr, and is offering them along with Sicoma Mixers.

Delivering products with lower initial cost

While widening our product line, we are also enhancing our sales and services support to customers. Our aim is also to keep our production costs low so as to deliver products to customers with lower initial costs. To achieve this, we do advanced planning for procurement of the raw materials and components as per the orders and production cycles, so as to hedge the risk of price fluctuations, if any. We are also offering operations and maintenance contracts to customers, enabling them to have higher plant availability. With this initiative, timely maintenance of the plants are ensured, resulting in lowering the maintenance costs of the plants and machineries.
