The country's business giant, ITC in a recent development has planned to set up a mega Food Park project on an area of about 30 acres in Ludhiana district of the Punjab. In this connection the company has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Punjab government for establishing a food park, besides it is also keen to set up four luxury hotels in the state under its brand name, Chairman YC Deveshwar said recently in a statement, reiterating that the state government is taking proactive steps to invite investment in agro processing and hotels segments. The food park in question will manufacture biscuits, juices and confectionery products on 30 acres in Ludhiana district. In addition, the state has already set aside 600 acres of land alongside the upcoming international airport and is also ready to allot land parcels to leading companies in the quickest possible time to kick start the IT industry.
