Telangana Single Window Clearence
In an attempt to fast track real estate projects across the state, the Telangana government is currently in the process of offering single window clearance mechanism for realty developers and is also bringing about certain changes in tax structure, which are aimed at streamlining and boosting the realty sector's prospects in the newly carved out state.

The chief minister has recently announced that the government would consider withdrawal of NALA (non-agricultural land tax) and VAT for real estate sector, while rationalizing the fee to Rs 3 per sq.ft of the built-up area, apart from effecting scores of other changes including offering flexibility for developers.

As of now, the real estate sector requires about 40 no-objection certificates, which have become a major source of corruption and delays. Efforts are currently underway and negotiations are on with the central government with regards to simplification of procedures, including from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, said official sources.
