The wholly owned subsidiary of a group company of Bharti Enterprises, Bharti Realty, in a maiden move in the country's realty sector, has inked an agreement with a Delhi-based builder to build high-end smart homes in the Surajkund area of Faridabad in Haryana on the outskirts of the national capital, in a joint venture at an investment worth Rs. 2,500cr, said sources claiming that the project which is stretching across over 50-acre will allocate 5.2 million sq ft space for building smart homes with the help of the group's expertise in technology and telecommunications.

The Surajkund project will have energy efficient homes in which gadgets, security and amenities will be connected through use of technology. Bharti Realty is currently managing two million sq ft of office space and is also building a 1.5 million sq ft retail and office project named as 'Worldmark' at the Aerocity district of IGI airport in Delhi, they added.
