1.6km bridge over Yamuna completed for Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has announced the completion of a 1.6-km-long bridge over the Yamuna river for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transport System (RRTS) corridor. The bridge, almost parallel to the DND flyover, connects the RRTS stations of Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar. Despite facing challenges such as monsoons and river floods, NCRTC used Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology for design efficiency. With the bridge's completion, approximately 50 km of viaduct from New Ashok Nagar in Delhi to Meerut South has been finished.
