AMNS India unveils Rs 60,000-cr expansion in Hazira steel plant
AMNS India's Hazira expansion project, involving an investment of Rs 60,000 crore, is set to be commissioned by 2026, informs Lakshmi N Mittal, Executive Chairman of ArcelorMittal. Prior to this, AMNS India had announced plans to invest the targeted funds to increase the capacity of its Hazira steel plant to 15 million metric tonnes (MT). Mittal stated that the Hazira expansion project is progressing rapidly to meet the company's goal of doubling production capacity in the first phase and then tripling it. They also plan to manufacture advanced products and technology to reduce imports and promote self-reliance in India.
