Gati Shakti Master plan advances ₹15000 Cr infra projects
The high-level Network Planning Group (NPG) under the PM Gati Shakti national master plan has initiated four infrastructure projects with a staggering investment of ₹15,000 crore. These include a 127 km greenfield railway line in Jharkhand, addressing the last-mile gap to existing coal blocks. The second railway project involves a brownfield line in Jharkhand and West Bengal, alleviating congestion and enhancing logistical movement in the Burnpur-Durgapur-Asansol industrial belt. Two road projects, one in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand (LWE-affected districts), and another in Assam and Mizoram, aim to improve multimodal connectivity, reduce travel times, and benefit industrial parks and technology hubs in the regions.
