Govt unveils ₹1.23 Lakh cr rail and road projects for Northeast
The Union government has launched a series of rail and road projects in the northeastern region, with a massive investment of ₹1.23 lakh crore. These projects, spanning about 1909 km, include a commissioned rail network of 482 km and a developed National Highway network of 4,950 km. The initiatives aim to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in the Northeast, contributing to the region's overall development.
