The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Government, inaugurated the Green Building Congress 2023, unveiling India's pioneering 'Net Zero Carbon' rating system. The event recognized outstanding schools in environmental initiatives and showcased updated rating systems for buildings, campuses, and factories. IGBC Chairman, Gurmit Singh Arora, emphasized the transformative potential of the Net Zero system and its alignment with India's climate goals. The conference, attended by industry leaders and policymakers, focuses on advancing Net Zero through decarbonization, reinforcing India's global leadership in sustainable building practices.
