Jaipur’s Northern RR Project to be Added in Centre's Vision 2047 Plan
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) are considering integrating the Northern Ring Road Corridor Project in Jaipur into the Union government's Vision 2047 plan instead of the earlier Bharatmala II project. This decision stems from uncertainties surrounding the execution of Bharatmala II projects. Under the Northern Ring Road project, NHAI aims to connect two arms of the Ring Road, facilitating smoother connectivity around Jaipur. The first arm, spanning 52 km from Mahapura to Chandwaji, is deemed critical for alleviating congestion, while the second arm, covering 44 km from Chandwaji to Bagrana, may see less traffic due to alternative routes for Delhi-bound vehicles. Integrating the project into Vision 2047 is expected to expedite its execution, aligning with MoRTH Minister Nitin Gadkari's keen interest in the Jaipur corridor's development.
