Pune metro lines to converge at single building in Civil Court Station
The Pune Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (PUMTA) has decided to consolidate all three metro lines into a single building at the Civil Court station. With the support of both Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha Metro), the three lines of Pune Metro, namely PCMC to Swargate, Vanaz to Ramwadi, and Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar, will now interchange at the Civil Court Station.
To accommodate this arrangement, PMRDA and Maha Metro have offered to cover the additional cost. The PCMC to Swargate line station is situated underground, while the Vanaz to Ramwadi line station is elevated at Civil Court Station. The station for the Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar route was initially located 150 meters away from these stations. However, to facilitate smoother interchange, it has been decided to shift the station of the PMRDA route into the same building, creating a more integrated and efficient metro system for Pune commuters.
