Shri Vivek Kumar Gupta assumed charge as the MD of NHSRCL
Shri Vivek Kumar Gupta, an IRSE 1988 batch officer, has taken charge as Managing Director of the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL), the organization overseeing India’s inaugural bullet train project. Prior to this role, Shri Gupta served as the Principal Executive Director/Gati-Shakti at the Railway Board (Ministry of Railways), where he oversaw the integrated functioning of various departments for planning and execution of railway projects, including station development.
With a wealth of experience in senior positions across Central & Western Railway, Shri Gupta has led construction projects ranging from new lines to maintenance of railway bridges. Notably, during his tenure at Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC), he played a pivotal role in coordinating major urban rail projects, including MUTP I, MUTP II, and MUTP III.
As DRM/Bhusaval, Shri Gupta demonstrated leadership in ensuring safety, efficiency, and infrastructure development within the Bhusaval division of Central Railway, while also overseeing revenue expenditure control and staff welfare. His extensive experience and expertise make him a valuable addition to NHSRCL's leadership team.
