NHPC Secures Bid to Develop 200 MW Solar Power Project in Gujarat
NHPC Limited, a leading hydropower company under the Ministry of Power, has won the bid to develop a 200 MW capacity Solar Power Project in Gujarat. The project will be located within the 1,125 MW RE Park of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (GSECL) at Khavda in Kachchh district.
Expected to generate approximately 473 million units of electricity in its first year of operation, the project's cumulative energy generation over 25 years is estimated to reach around 10,850 million units. NHPC will undertake the development on a build-own-and-operate basis, with a tentative development cost pegged at ₹847 crores.
