Uttar Pradesh to Establish ₹2,180 Crore Greenfield Township
The Uttar Pradesh government has unveiled plans for a Greenfield Township covering 1200 acres, with an estimated investment of ₹2,180 crore. Envisioned as a model pilgrimage city of the future, the project will see the Prime Minister laying the foundation stone soon. Online applications for plot allocations have already begun for mutts, ashrams, dharamshalas, and commercial purposes on both sides of the Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway. An additional 442 acres have been earmarked for the second phase of the project. The township's design aims to integrate with Ayodhya's cultural landscape, incorporating traditional architectural elements and local craftsmanship.
