Jaihind Projects Ltd. was started as Jaihind Welding Works, a small metals and welding workshop in Rajkot in 1963 by Late Mr. Lalchand Hinduja. His zeal, leadership and dedication towards work led his clients entrusting him to take on projects of larger size, leading him to build a team of technocrats and engineers to focus and take on oil & gas pipeline projects against competition from major engineering firms. In the coming decades, this entrepreneur from a remote city went on to execute some of the longest pipeline projects in the country.
In 1985, the company got its current name when it got converted into a private limited company from sole proprietorship and on 24th March, 1995, it went public.
Mr. Parakash Hinduja born in 1960, joined jaihind projects in 1980 and soon took charge of CEO. In 1989, he became Chairman and Managing Director and under his leadership, Jaihind has grown strength to strength in various areas of engineering & infrastructure construction. Today, the company has been the pioneer in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) with focus on hydrocarbon, water and other prime sectors in infrastructure industry.
Being a Mechanical Engineer by training, Mr. Hinduja has been guiding force for JPL Team in procuring, executing and successful commissioning of prestigious projects, entrusted to JPL over the years. Today, the company has been instrumental in laying more than 14,000 kilometers of Oil, Gas, Water, and sewer pipe lines in India and overseas, highest in India.
Under his leadership, Jaihind Projects received Award of Excellence 4 times (3 times in row), and also for Innovative 100 CMD / CEO, organized by Inc. India and Judged by Industry leaders of Small and Medium Entrepreneurs.
From a modest beginning more than five decades ago, Jaihind has remained true to its founding values of quality and transparency, and the aspiration to rise to the highest ethical standards and "do the right thing" instilled by its torch bearers and founders.
