Pune-Solapur highway to get double-decker flyover
In a bid to address the persistent traffic congestion on the Pune-Solapur highway, a comprehensive plan for the construction of a four-tier double-decker flyover, accompanied by a metro line between Hadapsar (Ravi Darshan) and Uruli Kanchan (Khedekar Mala), has been finalized. The plan has been forwarded to the Union transport ministry for final approval. Additionally, construction is soon to commence on a four-lane double-decker flyover and an approved metro line connecting Chandannagar and Shikrapur.
These upcoming projects, including the flyover between Ravidarshan and Uruli Kanchan, as well as the one between Chandannagar and Shikrapur, will effectively eliminate traffic congestion on both routes, bringing significant relief to commuters. They also highlight the progress made on major ventures such as the Pune-Nagar and Nashik Highways, along with the Pune-Nashik High-Speed Railway, which are expected to greatly benefit the local population.
This comprehensive plan aims to enhance the transportation infrastructure in Pune, providing efficient and convenient options for commuters and ultimately improving the overall traffic situation in the region.
