AVG Logistics secures ₹150 cr Bengaluru-Ludhiana cargo train contract
AVG Logistics has secured a contract worth Rs 150 crore from Indian Railways for the lease of a Parcel Cargo Express Train (PCET) connecting Bengaluru to Ludhiana in Punjab. This special train is set to complete one round trip weekly over the next six years, covering the distance in 72 hours. Managing Director and CEO, Sanjay Gupta, highlighted the strategic significance of Ludhiana, providing access to the textile market and cycle manufacturing. Specializing in road and rail transportation, reefers, cold chain, and warehousing, AVG Logistics operates over 50 fully automated branches nationwide. The recent contract not only bolsters revenue but also fuels motivation for the company to pursue ambitious projects and enhance overall financial performance.
