Delhi releases Rs 415-cr for Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Project
The Delhi government disburses its allocated Rs 415 Crore for the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project, following a court order. The RRTS is a mass rapid transit network, spanning 82.15 km, connecting Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Ghaziabad and Meerut. The ongoing construction of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, with a total budget of Rs 30,000 crore, is progressing. The RRTS project involves semi-high-speed rail corridors linking Delhi to Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, Alwar in Rajasthan, and Panipat in Haryana.
