Yeshwantpur Railway Station in Bangalore set for Rs 377-cr transformation
The Indian Railways announces a Rs 377 crore investment to develop Yeshwantpur Railway Station in Bangalore into a world-class facility. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlights plans for a roof plaza with a children's play area, product vending spaces, and enhanced connectivity. The station is strategically vital, serving train traffic from Bengaluru, Hassan, Tumakuru, Hubli-Dharwad, and Delhi. The transformation aims to accommodate increasing traffic, with convergence of suburban, mainline railway, and Metro services at the station.
