The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has successfully completed the land acquisition for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Rail Corridor, also known as the bullet train project. Covering Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the entire 1389.49 hectares of land required for the project has been acquired. NHSRCL has awarded all civil contracts for the Gujarat and Maharashtra sections, with significant progress on the construction of tunnels, bridges, and track systems. The first mountain tunnel, 350 meters long, near Zaroli village in Gujarat, was completed in just 10 months. The project aims to enhance connectivity with high-speed rail between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
