Senarat Jayasekera, Wacker Neuson
We have been investing more on R&D where the customer approach is concerned. Being an inventor of some of the most crucial small construction equipment, it is our duty to carry on with upgrading processes.
Mr. Senarat Jayasekera, M.D.
We keep upgrading our products to conform to Europe and USA regulations
There is a perpetual upgrading of our products to conform to prevailing strict regulations in Europe and the USA, not to mention, increasing of productivity of the said machines. We offer mostly the same types of equipment that are sold in Europe and in the USA. We are certain that Indian equipment owners and operators are also entitled to the same safety and efficiency norms as their counterparts in other developed countries.
Our equipment conforms to strict emission and Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) norms in addition to operator comfort and safety due to ergonomic designing. After all, we have been the inventor of some of the most crucial small construction equipment. It is, therefore, our duty to carry on with upgrading processes.
We optimize our machines through constant R&D
Automation is incorporated into some of our smallest equipment. We are proud to talk of intelligent fuel mixing engines, temperature controlled safety shut off systems etc. Mind you, these automation features are built into machines that are normally considered consumer items in the construction industry. This, I think, is the duty of a pace and trendsetter in the construction equipment arena. We are proud of it!
The Indian consumer is highly concerned; especially on fuel consumption in machines. Here again, we optimize through constant R&D, the performance and lifetime of machines. We have, however, not forgotten that it is the human being who buys and operates the machine. Our main aim therefore, has been and still, is the approach to the customer. We have been investing and believe in investing more on R&D where the customer approach is concerned.
Price is not the most important criterion when selecting equipment
The longer the intervals between maintenance, the better it is for the Indian customer. India with its gigantic distances between cities and towns can do well with quality equipment that do not require frequent maintenance. It has been foremost for Wacker Neuson as a company in India, to get the message across, that price is not the most important criterion when selecting equipment.
Our dealer network in the country is growing. We will definitely keep up this momentum in the future too. One of the foremost aims of participating in Excon is to attract first-time buyers to try and get a feel for our equipment. This is the reason that we demonstrate the equipment for the first-time buyers to see and test out the equipment for themselves.
As for the existing customers, we always inform them at this exhibition on the latest models and other solutions that they might require in the near future. I personally take this opportunity to welcome our dealers and to thank them for the services rendered to us.
GST has greatly simplified the necessary processes
We have optimism in the direction the construction industry is taking in India. Of course, the implementation of the GST has greatly simplified the processes necessary for us and our dealers to promote and sell our equipment in the country. The current year has seen steady progress for us. We expect better results in the future considering the projects that are in the pipeline.
New at Excon 2017
Wacker Neuson is progressively expanding in the Indian market. We are proud to say that we have been associated with the Excon exhibition for a considerable number of years now. Instead of trying to concentrate on a broad spectrum of products, we will, even this time, concentrate on niche applications in the concrete and soil compaction fields. We are also showcasing our mini excavators which we are confident will gain market acceptance in niche applications.
