Crisil predicts 35% uptick in road & green energy infra spend
In view of the robust project execution pace, bolstered by favourable policy initiatives, healthy leverage and heightened investor interest, the capital expenditure on road infrastructure and renewable energy in India is poised for an impressive surge of about 35%, amounting to an estimated Rs.13 lakh crore over the current and coming fiscals, rating agency Crisil stated in its report. The road construction is set to accelerate 25 per cent to 12,500-13,000 km per year over the current and next fiscal years on account of healthy pace of project awards and speedy projects execution by road contractors.
