Gujarat receives Rs 571-cr boost for tribal area development
The Union government has allocated Rs 571 crore to Gujarat for infrastructure development in 2,803 tribal-dominated villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana. The state is also enhancing healthcare with new medical colleges in Dahod, Valsad, Banaskantha, and Navsari districts. Prime Minister's focus on "holistic development" includes showcasing tribal heritage, celebrating Bhagwan Birsa Munda's birth anniversary as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, and integrating tribes into mainstream society while preserving customs and traditions.
