UP unveils Rs. 488-cr urban infra projects
Uttar Pradesh CM has unveiled projects worth Rs. 488 crore, including Rs. 233.20 crore projects in Gorakhpur district of the state. These projects include the inking of a MoU between Gorakhpur Nagar Nigam and NTPC Limited for setting up a plant to make charcoal from urban solid waste. NTPC will invest Rs. 255 crore to establish a charcoal plant with a daily capacity of 500 tons in Suthani, Sahjanwa, on the land provided by the Nagar Nigam for solid waste management. The waste management for producing charcoal will be the responsibility of the Nagar Nigam. The CM also laid the foundation stones for 189 development works and inaugurated 114 development works.
