Jaipur metro rail gets Rs. 980-cr extension
The Rajasthan government has launched construction work on the extension of Phase 1-C part of the Jaipur Metro, which involves an investment of Rs 980 crore, informs CM. Phase 1-C stretch of the Jaipur Metro project aims to extend the existing 11.97 km Pink Line (from Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar), further connecting Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar. This extension will include the addition of two stations at Ramganj Chaupar and Transport Nagar. The total length of Phase 1-C will span 2.85 km, with 2.26 km located underground and 0.59 km elevated. The project is slated for completion by March 2025. The CM also laid the foundation stones for nine infra development initiatives by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), entailing a cost of about Rs 430 crore.
