Rahee Infratech emerges lowest bidder for Mumbai Metro Line 9
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has declared Rahee Infratech as the lowest bidder for the 11.38 km long metro Line 9 of the Mumbai metro network, which runs from Dahisar East to Mira Bhayandar. The metro line comprises a total of 8 elevated stations. The elevated section is under construction by J Kumar Infraprojects, and includes several double-decker sections. Package CA-167 involves the installation of standard gauge tracks on the northern leg of the city’s Red Line, ultimately connecting Mira Bhayandar to Dahisar East, Andheri East- and CSIA Terminal 2 through 23 stations. MMRDA had estimated the budget for this package Rs. 88.28 crores GST, while Rahee’s bid amounts to Rs 77.85 crore. Mumbai Metro Line-9 serves as an extension of Line 7, spanning 13.581 km in length, and featuring ten stations. It will enhance the connectivity among the existing Western Express Highway, Western Railways, and Metro lines 2A & 7, reducing current travel time by upto 50% depending on road conditions.
