PM reviews Rs. 31,000-cr projects under PRAGATI
The Prime Minister, in a meeting of PRAGATI, an ICT-based multimodal platform for quicker implementation of projects, has reviewed the progress of eight key projects. These projects are spread across seven states and involve an investment of Rs 31,000 crore. Among these, four projects focus on water supply and irrigation, two on expanding national highways and connectivity, and two on rail and metro rail connectivity, spreading across Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Odisha, West Bengal, Gujarat and Maharashtra. He also directed all stakeholders executing projects in high-population-density urban areas to appoint nodal officers and form teams for better coordination. Up to the 43rd edition of PRAGATI meetings, a total of 348 projects with a total cost of Rs. 17.36 lakh crore have been reviewed.
