China’s KTK Group secures Rs 236.25-cr DMRC Contract
China's KTK Group has emerged victorious in clinching a substantial contract worth Rs 236.25 crore from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The contract entails the installation of Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) across three lines of Delhi Metro's Phase 4 project.
Under the comprehensive contract, KTK Group will undertake the complete process, encompassing design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of both half-height and full-height PSD systems. These systems will be set up along the Mukundpur to Maujpur, Aerocity to Tughlakabad, and Janakpuri West to R.K. Ashram Marg corridors of Phase 4 of Delhi Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS).
The Phase 4 project is a pivotal aspect of Delhi's ongoing metro expansion, encompassing the introduction of the Silver Line, spanning 23.62 km from Aerocity to Tughlakabad. Furthermore, extensions will be made to the Magenta Line, expanding 28.92 km from Janakpuri West to R.K. Ashram, along with a 12.58 km lengthening of the Pink Line from Mukundpur to Maujpur.
Elevated stations across the three lines, numbering 27 in total, will benefit from the installation of half-height platform gate systems. Additionally, the Silver and Magenta lines' 18 underground stations will receive full-height PSDs. The primary objective behind the incorporation of these Platform Screen Doors is to heighten safety measures, averting accidents and enhancing passenger security.
